The Effect of the Harrison and Bramson Model on the Achievement of Literature and Texts For Eighth Basic Grade Female Students

Abstract

The current research aims to identify “the effect of the Harrison and Bramson model on the achievement of literature and texts among eighth basic grade female students.” To achieve the goal of the research, the researchers intentionally chose (Shorsh Basic School for Girls) affiliated with the General Directorate of Education of the Kifri District. The researchers followed the experimental method due to its suitability to the procedures. Their research, and the research sample consisted of (42) eighth-grade female students, who were distributed into two groups, and by random assignment method, group (A) was chosen to represent the experimental group, with (21) female students who studied literature and texts according to (Harrison and Bramson model), while Section (B), the control group, with (21) female students who studied the same subject in the usual way. The two groups were rewarded in the following variables (final grades for the subject of literature and texts for the academic year 2021-2022, and the level of intelligence), and the requirements for the experiment were prepared, represented by (specifying the scientific subject, formulating the behavioral objectives, and teaching plans).

The researchers prepared a final achievement test for their research tool, which consisted of (20) items of the type of objective tests. Its validity and reliability were verified. The researchers used statistical methods appropriate to the nature of the research and its goal by using the statistical program (SPSS). After processing the data statistically, it became clear that there was a difference.
