The focus on the concept of social capital in the context of emphasis on the need to take advantage of linkages and informal relationships in the development process, particularly in developing countries, which represent the basic mechanism that links of the poor to cope with economic deprivation. Adding to the importance of social capital as a result generous comprehensive national development through the establishment of non-governmental organizations and activating its role in the development of social capital. The importance of These organizations come from the nature of the virtue of their customs and informal rules and relationships that enable individuals to carry out collaborative projects to achieve common and mutual interest, and these relations are called social capital and the more and the accumulation of the higher degree of confidence. The role of such organizations is an indicator measured by the basis of the degree of social capital, and thus Social capital is the key to sustainable development, development for the individuals and the individuals themselves.
The study belong to the descriptive and analytical studies for the purpose of describing the phenomenon (the role of social capital in achieving sustainable development) examination of the role of NGOs in the development of social capital for the development of the city of Port Said
