Abstract

Gareer is considered one of the Umayyad triangle poets (Farazdaq and Greer and Akhtal) was born in a village of Najd in 30 AH and died in Yamamh in 114 AH.
The research discusses the dialectic of literary thefts in Gareer poetry, who was accusing others of plagiarism from his poets when lampooning him. Therefore the research dealt with the following branched issues: critics' position of poetry thefts, also poets stand on the issue, Gareer thefts from other poets and vice versa.
Because of the nature of the issue we found out that descriptive and analytical approach is the approach that achieves the objectives of the research so we have adopted an approach it.
The importance of this study comes from the fact it tackles contentious issue an old yet still new because of the different critics views that raised many debates between them, therefore I participated and discussed this issue particularly in with regard to poetry theft with Gareer, because of research scarcity in this subject in particular.
