Psychological Security and Its Relation to Future Anxiety: A Sample of Teenager Dwellers of the Districts of Rabiaa Al Adawia and Al-Nahda

Abstract

The study aimed at the identification of the psychological security and future anxiety of a sample of the school teenagers, resident at Rabaa and Al-Nahda, districts, in comparison with another sample at far distances. The scales of, psychological security and future anxiety, were applied on an experimental sample group of (190) students age (12-14) and another exact sample of (192) students age (12-14). The results indicated to a statistical correlation, between the degrees of psychological security and future anxiety, also the results showed a negative effect on the self-security feelings and the parameters of the future anxiety of the physical and behavioral recognition, at the level of (0.01).
That result showed clearly, that an individual enjoys a higher degree of self- security, is less in experiencing future anxiety.
Generally, the results indicated clearly, to the following:
-          Comparisons between Rabaa and Al-Nahda, showed a less degree at the scale of psychological security, in favor of Al-Nahda.
-          Comparison between Rabaa and Al-Nahda, showed a less degree, on the scales of psychological security and future anxiety s, in favor of Al-Nahda
-          Comparison of the average results between the resident students of both, (Rabaa and Al-Nahda) and those who are  far from those two districts, showed less degree of psychological security and future anxiety, in favor of the far districts.
