Development of Turkish-middle Eastern policy

Abstract

Using the historical approach this study has handled and discussed the development of Turkish-middle Eastern Policy. The Study started with introducing the factors  Contributed to and established the Turkish-Arab relations in general, and the different stages that these relations went through with special emphasis on the period between the Second Gulf war 1991,until the beginning of the Arab spring 2011-2012 and the rule of Turkey during this period. The study has concluded that the Turkish-middle Eastern policy, has been described as un effective, un Active policy during the first period because of the very tied Turkish- Western relations, and the impact of this dependent. However, the role of Turkey has been changed based upon the understanding of the Turkish policy makers to their historical legacy in the region, the geographic location, its historical and cultural role has provided it with the ability and the quest to reestablish a positive relations with the Arab region, In order to serve its national interest and play a significant rule in both regional and international level.
