Crisis Management and its Role in Supporting the Establishment Employees

Abstract

Past few years witnessed the emergence of some crises in different parts of the world. Mad Cow, Avian Flu, oil high prices, global financial crisis, and swine flu are crises occurred in different countries of the world, but they have affected and still affect economically and socially on all countries of the world without exception. This of course refers to that we are indeed in the era of crises and disasters. No doubt that the tremendous advances in information technology and communications in the era of openness and globalization contributed to rapid spread of these crises, making the events and crises, which are located in any country, affecting the rest of countries, despite the absence of any role in this crisis.
The problem of the study in that crisis management has become an important and central role on the performance of the employees in an establishment and the establishment as a whole, since the existence of crisis management within the establishment means that the establishment has capabilities, data, and mechanisms that enable it to confront the crisis management, including avoiding establishment of collapse and enabling it to proceed, continue, and compete.
This study is very important, as it deals with an important topic recently, namely, Crisis Management and its role in supporting the establishment. The existence of this management becomes one of the most important mechanisms that maintain building and the continuation of the establishment in carrying out its mission and achieve its goal, by the help of individuals themselves, and cadres of trained and qualified persons, capable to deal with the crisis of any kind in a scientific manner thoughtful lead to control of the crisis and eliminate or at least minimize the negative influence on the
establishment of all aspects. Additionally, it may be possible to predict the crisis before they occur, and to be processed and prevented.
The building and functional theory is the theory which the researcher will depend upon in the study, and to be employed to serve the issues of study and crisis management in the establishment. Here there is a semi-agreement with the theory in that the establishment is a patterns or parts of society, and therefore reliable in the performance of a specific service, also integration with the rest of the community component of all .
The researcher tackles the matter by referring to the historical roots of the crisis management, and how they dealing with old crises, how events developed so that they showed the importance of management of crises each establishment provides with all the information, possibilities, and mechanisms, along with trained personnel who possess the capabilities that make them able to dealing with the crisis at any stage of its stages.
The researcher has explained in the study that crisis management is an important department in any establishment, which has a site on the organizational structure, so that there is a cooperation and integration between the department and other departments of the establishment. In case of not cooperating, this is reflected in the style and how to deal with the crisis before, during, and after occurrence.
The study concludes a number of important results: Crisis management is an important department in the modern establishment, which has a great role in influencing the performance of employees in meeting the crisis. There are some recommendations emerged from the study: We should pay more attention to crisis management in any establishment to be directly subordinate to the director of an establishment, with the importance of providing all the resources, tools, and mechanisms that help them to fulfill their role, in addition to training staff on the ways and methods of dealing with the crisis before, during, and after occurrence. Also, employees should have special abilities and talents that make them able to deal with the crisis.
