The Other in the Perspective of Ultra-Orthodox Youth : An Analytical Study of Yair Hasdiel’s Novel "Britskys"

Abstract

The story  Reflects "Britskys" Orthodox writer Yair Hasdail social phenomenon within the ultra-Orthodox community in Israel, Violence Against others - any who does not belong to the community Orthodox by "שבבניקים" "Alchaababenekem" "ultra-Orthodox young hooligans  as they are called within the ultra-Orthodox community. This phenomenon, which began to emerge in the early eighties. At first ultra-Orthodox community has not been seen seriously, but they have come to represent a threat within the ultra-Orthodox community. The story shows that the phenomenon through a group of children to violence, whether its behavior is characterized by verbal or physical or symbolic towards the other, and the light that we address this phenomenon and overwhelmingly manifestations of violence towards the other.
