Abstract

The widespread Electronic social networking on the Internet - especially Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others - the phenomenon of media most prominent in the world now.Based on this study attempts to discuss and analyze the effects of electronic social networks on the political culture of the youth of the university through a field study on a sample of students from the University of Kafr el-Sheikh.
This study belongs to descriptive studies, we have adopted in the collection of data on the Standardized interview . The field study was applied to a Purpose sample quota - according to the standard type, and nature of the study, and the school year - of (300) Single young users of electronic social networks at the University of Kafr el-Sheikh.
Among the most important findings of the study field of electronic social networks at the forefront of institutions most influential on the political culture of youth including made possible by space social - is characterized by unprecedented freedom - and of her yard to meet and exchange ideas and develop attitudes and interaction among the millions of young people in a virtual world does not control it does not prevent the crowds and demonstrations. It also has become a social networking gateway for political participation because of their ability to overcome barriers and various limitations on the expression of opinion, and reflect this in the prominent role contributed by youth in the establishment and success of the January 25 revolution.
