Abstract

This research (levels of the poetic structure in farouk gwayda’s poetry) consists of an introduction, preface and three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction shows the method of the study and the reasons why it was chosen. The preface shows a profile of the poet and a review of his works.
The first chapter’s title is (The Poetic dictionary).It studies the semantic fields, which constitute the basis of the infrastructure lexicographical in Farouk Gwayda’s poems.
The second chapter is (The poetic compositions), which contains three objects; the first one studies the construction methods in the poetic speech, like: questioning, appealing, whishing, ordering and interdicting. The second object studies the overall structure of the text through the relations between the sentences and the consecutive sentences and then the relations between the parts of sentences and the major unit’s text. As for the third part studies structures of the pronouns or the elements of communication in the poetic speech, rating Ggwayda’s poems according to the types of pronouns in them and emphasizing the pronoun’s transformation in the single poem.
(The poetic image) is the third chapter, which studies the poetic image considering it a linguistic relation between the word and the word’s reference. This chapter consists of three parts. The first one studies the structure of the poetic image, but it only contented with the similitude and the metaphor that they are the most prominent showing of the poetic image in Farouk Gwayda’s poetry.
The second part studies the role of the poetic image in composing the poem. It also identifies the text’s structures through the dominate role of the poetic image.
 The third part is (The poetic image of real life). It is particularly concerned with the image which driven from the reality of life on the ground. It should be mentioned that this kind of images in Farouk Gwayda’s poems hasn’t been dealt with by the previous works which studied his poetry.
Lastly it will be the conclusion which shows the most important results of the research.
