There are many semantic and cultural differences in translating the ancient Arabic poetry into other languages because of the vocabularies, images and cultural differences that urge the reader and translator to review various explanations and dictionaries.
We may think that translation does not differ from the source in the translation of an Arabic poetry with easily perceived vocabularies, clear meanings, using everyday language and avoiding the complicated images such as the poetry of Qabbani. Therefore, the present study investigates his ghazal poetry and its translations into English.
