This research included three topics to study the amount of solar energy received in Libya. In addition to the introduction and conclusion.
 The introduction deals with the research objectives, the questions of the study problem, and the research methods.
- The first topic deals with analysis and distribution of the amount of solar energy received in Libya annually and quarterly.
- The second topic projects of the utilization of solar energy represented in the following: -
1-Electrothermal transformation projects: exploitation of solar cells in communications, street lighting and pumping of water from wells by solar energy.
2-Thermal conversion projects, which are the use of solar radiation in the heating of domestic water, drying and desalination of sea water, the project of combating diseases and agricultural pests and the project of solar ponds.
3- the third Topic  This paper deals with the most important future uses of solar energy in Libya

The conclusion: - came to present the most important findings of this research and the recommendations that have been concluded.
