Chronic and Communicable Diseases and their Relation to the Demographic Characteristics of the Patients in the City of Taif

Abstract

Interested in geography, the analysis of spatial and from the spatial analysis of health and disease, hence this study for the analysis of infectious and contagious diseases in the city of Taif and the reality of patient records in primary health care centers, and by studying the characteristics of the patients found that patients have the level of education low, and the status and functional is well-reflected in the level health.
Has recorded the highest rate of diabetes among the chronic diseases it was 40.3% of all patients followed pressure by 17.9% of patients. The record of smallpox water ranked first among the communicable diseases by 20.4%, followed by measles, mumps, and 3.01% by 1.8%. The proportion of diabetes when the Saudis more than non-Saudis with Saudis stood at 40.56% and non-Saudis at 38.17% and vice versa for the pressure, And the percentage of sugar in men is higher than in women reaching for men 45.88% and for women 30.93%. There is an inverse relationship between chronic diseases and age-worth - 0.70 at the level of significance 0.01. And increase the rate of diabetes in Almzbbn reaching those who have diabetes, 63.40%.
The study showed that there is a weak positive relationship between educational level and disease amounting to 29%. As shown by the results of the regression model to gradual changes affecting the disease are: age, type of housing and educational level square correlation coefficient of $ 0.579.
