Framing analysis for policies of U.S. President Barack Obama "A comparative study between al- Jazeera and Al-Hurra "

Abstract

This study aims to monitor the properties of processing information and analysis to the policies of President Barack Obama, internally and externally, through the comparison between seeing all of the Arab media as represented by the Al-Jazeera, and the U.S. media directed the representatives of Al-Hurra, by analyzing the method of this treatment, which provided by each of the channels to the Arab public, with different media policy for each of them by applying the theory Framing analysis. This study is adescriptive study; that depends on the survey method of the survey of media content interested in follow-up to the dimensions of the policies of President Barack Obama provided by Al-Hurra and analyzed through the program: "In Washington", as presented by Al-Jazeera during the program: "from Washington". Objectives of the study:
1- Identifying the form and content of media treatment of the policies of President Barack Obama to the issues of America in each of al-Jazeera and the Al- Hurra.
2-Comparison between the Al-Jazeera and Al- Hurra to view these policies, In accordance with the directions of information each.
The study sample:
Program In Washington":a weekly program broadcast on Al-Hurra
Program from Washington: a weekly program broadcast on Al-Jazeera

The study lasted three months from the seventh / Until 30/09/2009 This study is based on the theory of analysis of news frames (framing analysis)
