Study about The role of electronic journalism in promoting national belonging Among Palestinian university students

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the electronic press in supporting the national affiliation among a sample of Palestine university students (Islamic, Al Azhar and Al Aqsa) universities in the governorates of Gaza which consists of (418) male and female students, (213) of them are females. This sample will be based on the survey and comparative approach through relying on two questionnaires prepared by the researcher (1) the questionnaires of the field study (2) the questionnaire of the analytical study as the most prominent findings showed that (61.5%) from among the study sample students are concerned with national affiliation issues in the Palestine electronic newspapers and that the order of the Palestine electronic newspapers that provide students with information about the national affiliation issues (Maannews, pali paltimes, wafa, palpress) agencies. The findings also showed that the most seen resources by the student concerning the national affiliation issues (the social networking with 65.1%, the websites 57.7%, while the least seen sources "the elites and referential groups" with 11.5%, then the personal communicating through the relatives and friends with 17.9%). The percentage of students of the study sample who know acts about the Palestine issues in correct and constant manner reaches 51.78% while the percentage of students who don't know about such acts reaches 27.9% and the percentage of students who know these facts in a wrong way reaches 20.31%.
