The Role of Kuwait University in developing citizenship values among students

Abstract

The study aimed at tracking the role of Kuwait University in developing citizenship values among students and knowing whether there are differences of statistical significance at (α = 0.05) in this role according to the variables: gender, undergraduate level, kind of college (humanity, scientific).
Responses of the respondents to the fields of study were according to their arithmetic average (in descending order): equality and respect for others, loyalty and affiliation, social responsibility and political values. Results of the survey showed absence of statistically significant differences in the role of Kuwait University in developing citizenship values among the students according to gender variable at the total score and on the field of study: equality and respect for others, loyalty and affiliation; presence of statistically significant differences in the role of Kuwait University in developing citizenship values among the students according to gender variable on the field of: political values in favor of males; presence of statistically significant differences in the role of Kuwait University in developing citizenship values among the students according to gender variable on the social responsibility field in favor of females; absence of differences of statistical significance in the role of Kuwait University in developing citizenship values among the students according to the undergraduate level variable at the total score and at the four fields.
