“The relationship between the perception of interpatental conflicts and the feeling of psychological security in the late childhood statge” descriptive correlational comparative study

Abstract

The main objective of this study: is to examine the relationship between the perception of parental conflicts and the feeling of psychological security in late childhood.
The study sample included 56 children divided into 28 females and 28 male elementary school students.
The scales were used:
1. Children's perception of parental conflict:
 Written by Jerish, Sayed and Finchem, translated by Laila Ahmed Jamal al-Din Taaima.
Three methods were used to calculate stability coefficients: alpha-cronbach, half-flux, and internal consistency.
2 - measure the feeling of psychological security of children:
Prepared by / Amani Abdelmaksoud.
Method:
In order to calculate the T test for independent groups and the correlation coefficients, the statistical program was SPSS.
The main findings of the study were as follows:
1. There is a significant correlation between the variables of psychological security and
the perception of parental conflicts
2 - There are differences of statistical significance between the sample of females and the sample of males, in the variable "psychological security" in favor of males at the level of confidence 95%
3- There are differences of statistical significance between the sample of females and the sample of males, in the variable " perception of parental conflicts" in favor of females at the level of confidence 95%
