The Cultural Diversity and its Effect on Improving Labors’ Style of Life An Applied Study within Saudi Aramco

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of the cultural diversity on improving the labors’ style of life, who work in Saudi Aramco, and this is through revealing the economic, social and educational characteristics for individual samples, cultural diversity dimensions and work quality, the cultural diversity and improving the quality of family life, and the available mechanisms of work quality in international organization.
In order to achieve such above-mentioned objectives: The study used both methods of social survey and case study; it also used a number of tools which are: conducting a questionnaire for a purposive sample which was total of (105) items, and running an in-depth interview guide of (6) items. As a result, the study concluded a group of results, and the most important one is that the cultural diversity within Aramco affects in improving the labors’ style of life, and this is through the transmission of symbolic and actual codes, meanings, and denotations of both behaviors and actions made by foreign-cultured parties, either through simulation, imitation, role-playing, or under the influence of admiration, power or threat. In addition, the study came to the influence of professional identity on labors social Culture.
Consequently, the study suggested a future vision for improving the labors’ style of life, who work within industrial organization, through ambitious vision and message that are based on significant principles which depend on actual basis, and to be cooperatively implemented by both industrial organization and multi-cultured labors. The mechanisms for applying such basis lie on adapting the local systems, creating an innovative environment, recruiting high qualified individuals, and reinforcing the cultural diversity channels.
