Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of the application of artificial intelligence (Chat GPT) in serving researchers in the science of rhetoric, by reviewing the pros and cons of the application, through models used to test the effectiveness of the application, relying on books on rhetoric, to highlight the cognitive differences between relying on artificial intelligence to obtain knowledge, and finding it in books whose authors strive to obtain knowledge from its sources. The results of the study, which followed in the footsteps of the descriptive analytical method, demonstrated the negatives of the application, the necessity of using the human mind in acquiring knowledge, and returning to the main books to build a sound research direction. It also demonstrated the value of positive and correct investment in artificial intelligence in the service of knowledge, and not in the researcher’s laziness in accessing it.
