This study aims to produce a comparative historical analysis between Karl Brockelmann's (1868–1956) History of Arabic Literature and Fuat Sezgin's (1924–2018) History of Arabic Heritage. The research examines the added scholarly value of both works, identifying points of convergence and divergence in terms of content, methodology, style, approaches to source investigation, and perspectives on addressing texts and heritage. In addition, the study explores the historical and intellectual significance of the two books while offering a critical analysis of their methodological limitations. The research concludes by proposing actionable ideas to address the critiques directed at both works. It also presents several findings and offers a set of recommendations..
