Perceptions of graduate students at Mu'tah University towards climate change and the associated urgent problems

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the perceptions of graduate students at Mu'tah University towards climate change and the associated urgent problems, and whether these perceptions differ based on variables such as gender, specialization, academic level, and place of residence. The study sample included 212 male and female students, and the descriptive analytical method was used, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for the study, The results indicated that the perceptions of graduate students at Mu'tah University towards climate change and the associated emergency issues were significantly high across all axes, dimensions, and statements. There were statistically significant differences in the perceptions of graduate students at Mu'tah University towards climate change and the associated emergency issues attributed to variables such as gender (in favor of males), specialization (in favor of scientific fields), academic stage (in favor of PhD students), and place of residence (in favor of urban areas, then rural areas, then villages). In light of these results, the study presented a set of recommendations and proposed research.
