"strange" in the Holley Quran from the point of view of grammarians

This research deals primarily the term "strange" in the Holley Quran from the point of view of grammarians. It states the most important reasons for the term and the criteria by which the "strange" pronunciation was judged as "strange". Accordingly، this research aims to reveal what is meant by the term "strange Quran"، show the most important determinants، reveal the most prominent reasons why a word is referred to as strange، and to indicate the criteria of strangeness of a term referred to "strange" by grammarians.

The research proceeds according to the descriptive-analytical approach based on extrapolating the theoretical material from its resources and classifications، and then classifying and categorizing it in order to reach satisfactory results.

The research was divided into three main parts، the first part dealt with talking about the term "strange" and strangeness in the Holly Quran، while the second dealt with the most prominent reasons why grammarians and linguists judge a word to be "strange"، and the third dealt with talking about the two criteria of strangeness in grammar، namely the structural criterion، and the semantic criterion.

The research has reached a number of conclusions. The most significant conclusions are: on the one hand، strangeness in the Holy Quran is what its readers need to refer to the resources in order to understand what is meant by it. On the other hand، that research found the most prominent reasons for judging strangeness on pronunciation which are dialect، semantic development، metaphor، strangeness of derivation and others.
