Iraqi relations with the Kingdom of Morocco began with the support of the State of Iraq for the Kingdom of Morocco during its struggle to gain independence from French colonialism, and support for the Moroccan national movement in various forms until independence was achieved on 3/3/1956. In addition, many changes occurred in the Iraqi political system after Morocco's independence, but the Kingdom of Morocco continued to respect diplomatic relations with Iraq, in an attempt to benefit from their political, economic, and cultural experiences and Iraq's international standing. After 2003, a major political transformation took place in Iraq, namely the change of the political system in it, as a result of the American occupation of Iraq on 4/9/2003, and the resulting political developments that negatively affected Arab and international diplomatic relations, which constituted a new turning point in the foundations and basics of Iraqi foreign policy. This situationcontinued until the issuance of the 2005 Constitution, as Iraqi diplomacy later began to proceed from the principles of the new Constitution, which include Iraq adopting a moderate line in its foreign policy and in its relations with the countries of the world in a way that guarantees cooperation based on strengthening the interests of Iraq, its people and the peoples of the world, ensuring its return to the international community, and practicing its role that is commensurate with its strategicandcivilizational importance. .Both countries, Iraq and Morocco, sought to achieve the greatest degree of cooperation, rapprochement, coordination, and the establishment of diplomatic relations
