Abstract

Extremism constitutes one of the serious problems facing societies, and threatens their security and stability because it has dire consequences, especially since it targets effective and active groups in society, such as youth. As long as youth are among the target groups of extremism, there should be special attention to youth in order not to drift behind extremism, and therefore our current research has focused on the role of youth in confronting extremism Educational aspects, sports activities, and volunteer work were discussed in their ability to refine young people and give them values, respect, and reconciliation with themselves and others, and their ability to instill positive thoughts and create from them a healthy generation useful to society. The research concluded that most young people lack the language of communication and dialogue with others, and that they have extremist tendencies with others In particular, they get angry when others disagree with them in their opinion, and they cling to their opinions and convictions, in addition to the arguments they get into on social media sites
