Preoccupied attachment and its relationship to self-efficacy among university students

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify:
1-Identifying preoccupied attachment among university students.
2- Identifying statistically significant differences in preoccupied attachment among university students according to.
3-Variable gender (male, female) and specialty: scientific, humanities).
4-Identifying self-efficacy among university students. ww
5- Identifying the statistically significant differences in self-efficacy among university students according to.
For variable gender (male, female) and specialization: scientific, humanities).
To identify the correlation between preoccupied attachment and self-efficacy among university students.
To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the following:
The researcher built the preoccupied attachment scale in light of the definition and theory of Bowlby (1982) and the component
From (20) items, the researcher also prepared a measure of self-efficacy based on several measures and studies The scale consists of (20) items, as the researcher applied the scale to a sample of (400) people.
University students (140) males and (260) females for the academic year 202-2023, and the results were as follows: Comes:
1- The research sample has a high level of preoccupied attachment
2- There are no statistically significant differences in preoccupied attachment depending on the variable of gender and specialty.
3- The research sample has self-efficacy.
4-There are no statistically significant differences depending on the interaction between gender and specialization
5-There is a positive, direct relationship between preoccupied attachment and self-efficacy
The research concluded by discussing the results and presenting some recommendations and proposals.
