Objectives: The research aimed to study the impact of parents' culture on the education and training of people with intellectual disabilities and to identify the factors that contribute to improving the educational and training outcomes, in addition to involving parents in the decision-making process and improving the services provided to them. Method: The social survey approach was followed, as the research community represented all parents who have children with mental disabilities. The research sample was chosen randomly and included (200) parents. Results: The results of the study concluded that the higher the level of education of parents, the greater their belief in the abilities and potential of people with mental disabilities, which reflects positively on their education and training. The study also found that most parents are not familiar with the programs and services provided to people with mental disabilities, and that most parents do not participate in the activities provided to people with mental disabilities. Conclusion: The research recommended the need to educate parents and focus on the importance of the role they play to develop the capabilities of their children, and their active participation in decision-making and the development of services that focus on the benefit of this group, so as to Through their participation in training programs, including lectures, in addition to receiving psychological counselling by specialists.
