Algeria's role in achieving the Arab – African union against Israel (1962-1977)

Abstract

The Importance of the research is to reveal the role of Algerians in achieving the Arab- African solidarity against Israel 1962-1977, and create new peace opportunities through a wide African support that accord with the Algerian aspirations of Putting an end to the Israeli expansion in the Arab lands, especially the Palestinian land which Israel has occupied and caused the displacement of Palestinians and confiscated their properties since the Arab-Israeli conflict in 1948-1967. Algeria attempted to enhance the Arab-African relations through the creative cooperation in the Political and economical domain to confront the risks of colonization in all its forms, especially the Israeli colonization.

   For the achievement of that , the Algeria government focused on enhancing and activating its diplomatic role with the African governments through its delegates, consulates, and ambassadors that have duties in the African cities and capitals. The effort of the Algerian government focused on asserting and choosing those who have qualifications to take positions in this domain. In contract to their colleagues in other Arab cities and capitals, the Algerian diplomats found in the African cities made great achievements such as attracting the attention of African people toward the Palestinian issue.
