Objective: The study analyzed the Islamic-Christian relations in the Arab world in a global framework perspective following the end of the Cold War in 1990-1991. The external factors determining this relationship can be seen in globalization, the structure of the global system, the policies of Western countries, the role of international organizations, the Arab regional system, and the role of Islamic and Christian militant groups. The Islamic-Christian relations were also discussed in the wake of the Arab Spring movements in 2010-2011. Methods: Historical approach was used to review the process and transformations of Islamic-Christian relations and patterns overtime. Comparative approach was utilized to evaluate the weight of internal and external determinants and their consequences on the overall Islamic-Christian relations. Finally, the descriptive analytical approach was used by collecting texts and information related to the topic and analyzing them with the aim of answering the research questions and hypotheses. Conclusion: The study concluded that the effects of globalization contributed to pushing the Muslims and Christians towards confrontation. The imbalances in the structure of the Arab political system have exerted negative influence between the two sides. Moreover, the lack of social and economic justice and the clear deficiency in the concepts and applications of political participation have magnified disruption and turmoil between Muslims and Christians during the concerned period of the study.
