Austria-Hungary's policy towards the Agadir Crisis of 1911
Abstract Our Arabic library suffers- according to our knowledge - from a scarcity of studies on the Agadir crisis, with the exception of the book ((The Moroccan Question 1900-1912)) by Dr. Muhammad Khair Fares, which is originally a master’s thesis submitted to an Egyptian university. Even this book did not address the Agadir crisis in detail, nor did it address the positions of European countries - with the exception of France in some detail - regarding this crisis. Therefore, we believe that there is an urgent need to study this crisis that contributed to dragging Europe and the world into World War I, and to study Austria-Hungary’s position on it. For the two reasons mentioned above, we chose to study Austria-Hungary from the Agadir crisis, which is a documentary study because it relied primarily on British and German documents and on books and documentary studies
