This research provides a comprehensive study on the Battle of Ankara in 1402, which marked a turning point in the history of the Ottoman Empire. The research is divided into three major investigations preceded by an introduction and aims to analyze the conditions that led to this battle and its long-term effects. In the first research, the situation of the Ottoman Empire is reviewed prior to the Battle of Ankara, focusing on the political and military situation of the Ottoman Sultan Bayzid I. This study addresses the diplomatic relations and military movements that preceded the confrontation as well as the internal and external challenges faced by the Ottoman Empire. The second research addresses the battle of Ankara itself through a detailed historical study, which relies on the analysis of reliable historical sources to review the course of the battle, from the first military moves to the decisive victory of Timorlink where both commanders' strategies are analyzed and the factors that led to the collapse of the Ottoman army and the capture of Sultan Baizid I. In the third study, the consequences and implications of Ankara's battle are reviewed which includes a detailed study of the consequences of the battle on the Ottoman Empire, Including the political division and the post-defeat power struggle The long-term impact on Ottoman expansion and the delayed opening of Constantinople, as well as the socio-economic changes resulting from these events, are being analysed. Finally, the most important findings of this research were addressed.
