The issue of social exclusion is closely tied to poverty and inequality. It has become a significant phenomenon reflecting the reality of societies and presenting a real challenge needs to analyze and understand the causes and effects of poverty and social exclusion on human and society , As the study belongs to sociology of literature, From this standpoint.
The study aimed to discuss,understand and analyze the relationship between poverty and social exclusion , Focusing on the egyptian novel “ Yacoubian Building” . This study tried to answer several questions, The most important were, What are the patterns of social exclusion that prevailling in the society?, What is the relationship between poverty and the social exclusion? , What is the detrimental outcomes of social exclusion in society as the novel depicted it?. The study relied on textual analysis and an interpretative approach. Also we can say The study based on qualitative analysis. The study concluded with several results, the most important one is that the social exclusion has indeed become a prevalent form of exclusion in society. The study also found that emphasizes the rise of social violence and the lack of citizenship as detrimental outcomes of social exclusion for society.
