Quality of work life and job satisfaction among primary government school teachers in Al-Jahra Governorate in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the level of quality of work life among government school teachers in the primary stage in Al-Jahra Governorate in the State of Kuwait to identify their level of job satisfaction and the correlation between the quality of work life and job satisfaction among the study sample. The study relied on the descriptive, Correlative approach . The study used a questionnaire to collect data that are necessary for the study. The study was applied to a sample of (202) primary school teachers in government schools in the city of Jahra in the State of Kuwait.
The results of the study concluded that the level of quality of work life was at a high level while the level of job satisfaction was at average level, and there was a positive, statistically significant correlation between the quality of work life and job satisfaction concerning the simple of the study .
The study recommended the importance of establishing flexible school leadership to deal with teachers, determine the priorities of school work, apply the needs of teachers, coordinate between them, and develop new mechanisms to encourage innovation and creativity among teachers.
