Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the level of counseling practices and their relationship to the information epidemic of social media among students in the upper basic stage. To achieve the objectives of the study, a sample of (385) female students in the upper basic stage from Karak Governorate - Southern Mazar District was selected, and the information epidemic scale and the scale were developed. Guidance practices were prepared by researchers, and their psychometric properties were verified, including validity and reliability. The study followed the descriptive approach, and the results of the study found that the level of the information epidemic was moderate in terms of the overall degree and dimensions. The results of the study also revealed the importance of guidance practices among students of the upper basic stage, which helps them To deduce and extract correct information, the study came out with a number of recommendations, including the need for some of them to correct their information, and to possess correct information commensurate with their physical, hormonal, educational, social and developmental changes.
