Abstract

This research examines parallel texts in the short story collection "LOS OBJETOS NOS LLAMAN" by the Spanish writer Juan José Mías, using a semiotic approach that engages with signs as symbolic covers employed by the author. The study aims to uncover the hidden meaning behind both iconic and (textual) pictorial signs on the cover. Additionally, it seeks to reveal the significance of parallel texts represented by the main and subheadings of the stories within the collection, connecting them in a relational system that reflects the Spanish author's cultural and intellectual perspective.
