Abstract

This study aimed to measure the impact of a program based on school library activities on developing creative thinking skills among primary school students in Kuwait, using the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT). The research was conducted using an experimental approach, where students were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The program was implemented with the experimental group, while the control group remained without intervention.

Creative thinking skills were measured before and after implementing the program, and the data were analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques. The study revealed statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the level of creative thinking, as the scores of the experimental group significantly improved after the implementation of the training program.

The study's results also indicate that the library program based on activities contributes to the development of various aspects of creative thinking among primary school children. It enhances their ability to visualize and generate ideas, fosters original thinking, and improves their ability to deal with challenges and solve problems in innovative ways.

Based on these findings, it is recommended to develop and enhance school library programs in primary education and increase their implementation in the educational environment. Additionally, necessary training and guidance should be provided to teachers to enhance their ability to effectively use the school library in developing students' creative thinking skills.
