The impact of domestic violence and family problems on the increase in domestic crime in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The current study aimed to discover the effect of low economic level on the increase in family crime, and to identify the effect of the cultural level on the increase in family crime. And discovering the effect of the family environment on the increase in family crime. The research community is represented by all members of Kuwaiti society, and the research sample was randomly selected from members of Kuwaiti society. The sample number reached (100) individuals between the ages of 25 to 60 years. The most prominent results reached by the research were with regard to answering its questions and achieving its goals. As follows: 1- The effect of the low economic level on the increase in family crime came with a degree of agreement (Agree), as the general mean of the axis was (4.04), with a standard deviation of (0.75), and this indicates the presence of a high effect of the low economic level on the increase in family crime. 2- The effect of the cultural level on the increase in family crime came with a degree of agreement (OK), as the general average for the dimension was (4.13), with a standard deviation of (0.73). This indicates the presence of a high effect of the cultural level on the increase in family crime. 3- The effect of the family environment on the increase in family crime came with a degree of agreement (strongly agree), as the general average for the dimension was (4.26), with a standard deviation of (0.47). This indicates that there is a very high effect of the family environment on the increase in family crime.
