The dynamics involuntaty bedwetting in the late childhood, clinical case study

Abstract

The current study aims to reveal the dynamics of the involuntary psychological construction of children in late childhood who suffer from involuntary bedwetting, through an in-depth study of the individual case by analyzing the personality from its various aspects in order to identify the basic conflicts and defense mechanisms used, the nature of family relationships and the ratio of Intelligence sometimes.
The tools were used:

the clinical interview with guiding topic headings.
F.D. test.
Stanford-Binet scale "5th version".
Thematic Apperception Test T.AT.
Hand Projective Test.

Results:

nresolved Oedipal Conflicts.
Losing a love object.
Parental treatment methods were characterized by complacency and a lack of sympathy and support.
The defensive mechanisms used are: detachment, denial, and reaction formation.
Dependent tendencies, with a need for self-assertion.
The need to existencein a safe environment.
Feelings of inferiority.
Moderate ability with to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
High ability to use more than one means to solve problems.
High ability to find solutions to difficult problems under time pressure.

When exposed to stressful situations, it is sometimes resolved through appearance using involuntary bedwetting , and at other times it is confronted by stealing, lying and nail biting.
