Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the conditions of sheltering Syrian refugees by adopting their extremist ideology in the host countries from the point of view of workers in humanitarian organizations" Jordan as a model". To achieve the objective of the study, the descriptive analytical survey method(Social Survey) was adopted and the sample consisted of (300) workers working with humanitarian organizations in Jordan, and to collect the study data, a questionnaire consisting of (50) paragraphs was constructed, which was distributed on four axes measuring the conditions of accommodation (social, economic, cultural, shelter services) and Axis measuring the proposed solutions to reduce extremist thought and (SPSS), the study reached the following results: the role of the conditions of accommodation of Syrian refugees in host countries by adopting Extremist ideology was high and reached (3.71), and the social shelter conditions ranked first with an arithmetic average (3.93), followed by the cultural shelter conditions with an arithmetic average(3.73), followed by the conditions of shelter services, and in the fourth and last place came the economic shelter conditions with an arithmetic average (3.58). The results also showed that the most important preventive measures to reduce extremist ideology are: creating quality education outcomes in Syrian refugee schools to prepare a generation capable of confronting the danger of extremist ideology, using the security card in Syrian refugee gatherings to prevent the emergence of incubators for groups with extremist ideology, and coordination between the security authorities, and humanitarian organizations to create conditions against the adoption of extremist ideology within the Syrian refugee community, in light of the results of the study, a number of recommendations were made, including: The need to improve the social, economic, cultural and shelter conditions for Syrian refugees and shelter services for their role in spreading extremist ideology and holding training workshops, awareness lectures and in various audiovisual media and social media applications for Syrian refugees in refugee camps to make them aware of the danger of extremist ideology on security and human stability.
