Cybercrime and youth awareness of violating the privacy of the individual

Abstract

This study belongs to the pattern of analytical descriptive studies in order to identify the extent of youth awareness of the factors that lead to increasing crimes and violation of individual privacy, and to reveal the extent of awareness of young Internet users towards the methods used to violate the privacy of the individual from cybercrime, and determine the extent of awareness of young people on social impacts The consequences of violating the privacy of the individual when exposed to cybercrime, and come up with proposals to alleviate the social effects of violation of the privacy of the individual from cybercrime from the point of view of young people, such as revealing the nature of the relationship between methods used in crimes The study has developed the theory of symbolic reactivity and the theory of intermittent contact as a theoretical premise, and it relied on a questionnaire that measures the awareness of university youth towards the seriousness of cybercrimes in violation of the privacy of the individual. The human field of the current study was represented by a simple random sample from the fourth year students of the Higher Institute of Social Work in Cairo with (10%) of the students. E there is a positive relationship with substantial significant at the abstract level (0.05) between the methods used in electronic crimes and social implications from the point of view of young people.
