The educational platform and electronic social interaction in social organization (a comparative study between a scientific service organization and a literary one at Zagazig University)

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the roles of the electronic educational platform in supporting and developing university education, and to bring about electronic social interaction between the educational parties at Zagazig University as a social organization,applied to the Faculties of Science and Arts, and the research was based as a theoretical guide on the following theories:Technical social pattern - social networks - social interaction - symbolic interaction - e-learning.                        The researcher used the sample survey method applied to a sample of (12.) faculty members in the Faculties of Science and Arts at Zagazig University, and also used the comparison method, and relied on research tools such as the electronic and traditional questionnaire, participation observation, and the statistical tool ( Chi-Squre )
The results indicated that the educational platform as a tool for e-university education plays an important role in achieving the goals of university education and its development, because it helped students to obtain courses easily anywhere and at any time, and helped to create electronic social interaction between students and faculty members, as well as between The students themselves, and among the faculty members with each other. The results indicated that there are obstacles corresponding to activating the roles of the educational platform in achieving its educational organizational goals, such as technological, material, educational and cultural obstacles. Zagazig University must develop the technical infrastructure for information technology and education technology
