Dealing with paper land use urban city Awlad sakr .. from the premise that this evaluation is one of the goals of sustainable development in urban areas, which always seeks to optimize employment uses within the city, as the general direction of the population urbanizing .. which must be prosecuted to meet needs of the population of basic services and in the forefront of infrastructure (roads - water - sewage) .. in order to reduce cost and satisfy needs.
And knows the optimal exploitation of the land as: land use by assessed practical and scientific .. characterized by balance between competing uses .. so as to achieve sustainable development; that increase production and check .. .. needs of the population, taking into account the environmental dimension.
Evaluation is the first assessment phase, the term evaluation is not new, but has been followed since a long time back to the era of Muhammad Ali Pasha, when he ordered the division of agricultural land into agricultural basins based on soil fertility and productivity per acre in the first place, the aim of the assessment and the tax on agricultural land and still it followed so far and assigning property taxes.
But in our times longer these criteria are limited, due to the emergence of many variables, as well as progress and development of new technologies and in the forefront of GIS and Remote Sensing (GIS & R.S), and currently the evaluation was not limited to the agricultural land .. but spread to the uses other land (residential - industrial - commercial ....) in rural and urban areas.

The idea of ​​this paper came from the premise that the geographical of appreciate specialists to carry out the evaluation.. because of his vision conscious for most of the variables that affect and are affected by the place in light of the study of spatial relationships, as well as what he has from the approaches and methods of scientific and modern techniques to help him do the work .. At the forefront of GIS and remote sensing.
