Abstract

The tripartite aggression against Egypt took place on October 29, 1956, and resulted in an international crisis that caused concern to many Western countries, including Canada. As is known, politics is the language of interests. This explains the Canadian role in the Suez crisis, as Canada had its own interests and gains it hoped to achieve as a result of the intervention in the crisis. Canada has sought to achieve these goals through two pillars:

First: its foreign policy with friendly countries.
Second: Presenting its idea within the United Nations.

The Suez crisis ended with Canada's creation of the United Nations International Emergency Force. So why and how did Canada play this role?
These are the questions that the research paper will answer through research in Canadian, British and American documents as well as many references and foreign periodicals.

Due to the lack of Arabic literature in this regard, the study relied mainly on foreign sources, which may be sufficient to explain the role of Canada in the Suez crisis.
