Marriage of Children and Education deprivation: A field Study in Giza Governorate

Abstract

    The present study investigates the impact of children marriage on education deprivation and this leads to a number of issues like  investigation of the impact of power within the family on child marriage and deprivation of education. Moreover, the present study identifies the influence of the parents' profession, and the economic level of families on children marriage and education deprivation. It also identifies the impact of the family's cultural awareness on child marriage in relation to educational issues. To sum up, the current study sheds light on how both environment and relatives play an essential part in this issue.
 The present study also adopts a case study as an approach. It is applied on ten cases of girls who are married in childhood period in Al-Badrasheen (South of Giza Governorate). Finally, the study comes with the following results: the impact of power and authority within the family on children (girls) marriage and education deprivation, the economic level, the cultural awareness of the family on their married children in childhood period, and finally the influence of both environment and relatives in relation to these critical issues.
