Abstract

This research deals with The One Member Nominal Sentence in the Coffin Texts discussing the different kinds, forms of the Nominal Sentence with nominal predicate that constructed of one main member that usually be considered predicate. This kind of Nominal Sentence can be attested in three patterns:
(1) in A pattern : A always represents the predicate of the sentence
(2) The Contextual Question [Wh.] + A : A always represents the subject of the sentence that has omitted predicate in the form of interro.Pron.
(3) A Ø : this pattern usually appears in the texts as an answer on a previous question, since in this construction the sentence tells the predicate only (A), while the subject already exists in question sentence.
(4) The independent use of sDm.f form as a member of the nominal sentence with omitted subject so the sDm.f form in this case usually represents the nominal predicate

(5) the nominal usage of the infinitive as a one member of the nominal sentence with omitted subject, also in this case the infinitive takes the position of logical nominal predicate before omitted pw.
