Religion Orientation and its relationship to the Psychological Security of a sample of the secondary school students. (Comparative study between urban and rural)

Abstract

The objective of the study To identify the relationship between religion orientation and psychological security among a sample of secondary school students, and to identify the differences between (male & female) and (urban & rural) residents in religious orientation and psychological security, Applied study on a total sample of (495) students from the first grade general of the secondary year and the average age of 15 years and seven months from a group of public schools in Sharkia Governorate. These schools are located in two educational departments: East and West Zagazig Educational Administration, Study Tools: (Preliminary data form - Scale Religion Orientation - Scale Psychological Security) preparation of the researcher and Results of the study: There is a positive correlative relationship with a statistical significance between the religious orientation and (self dimension and social dimension) of psychological security, and there are no correlation relationship with a statistical significance between the extrinsic religious orientation and (self dimension and social dimension) of psychological security & There are statistically significant differences between males and females in intrinsic religions orientation for females, and there are no statistically significant differences between males and females in extrinsic religions orientation & There are no statistically significant differences between males and females in the self dimension of psychological security and There are statistically significant differences in the social dimension of psychological security for females & There are statistically significant differences between urban and rural residents in their intrinsic religions orientation for the benefit of rural residents, and there are no statistically significant differences between urban and rural residents in the extrinsic religions orientation and There are differences of statistical significance among the students urban and rural residents in their sense of psychological security (dimension of self and social) for the benefit of rural residents.
