Unlike the common reading of the historical events, which depends mainly on the meaning of the external narratives, this study uses psychological analysis to approach and explain the historical events. This historical school of analysis gives the researcher a better opportunity to understand how and why things happened that way, especially when it comes to human behaver of individuals and groups, including their customs and cultures, their rituals, and even their ethnic and doctrinal conflicts. therefore, this study comes to relay on this school to examine the doctrinal incidents that took place in Iraq during the Abbasid rule up the end of the sixth century AH.
