The Effectiveness of Soft Power in Enhancing National Security Among Young People in the Kuwaiti Society

Abstract

The current study aimed to shed light on the effectiveness of soft power in enhancing national security among youth or young people in the Kuwaiti society. The study was of the type of descriptive analytical studies, and was guided by the social survey method in obtaining and analyzing the required data. The electronic questionnaire was distributed to a non-random sample of 220 youth in Kuwaiti society.
The study concluded that the level of effectiveness of soft power in enhancing national security was medium. The study also showed that there are no statistical differences regarding the effectiveness of soft power in enhancing national security among youth in the Kuwaiti society due to the variables (sex , educational qualification) according to the responses of these youth.
The study also recommended the necessity of conducting new research on the subject of the study, as well as the necessity of holding specialized training courses or programs related to the soft power of security personnel, which contributes to strengthening national security in Kuwaiti society.
