Ibn al-Faras is considered one of the personalities that has not been highlighted and has not received a historical study about his scientific and political role. In light of the absence of a study on this judge in the Arab library, the researcher deals with his life through several axes. The research covers his birth and upbringing, the factors influencing the formation of his culture, his teachers, teaching of his students, his output across many sciences, and his political role during the period when he was one of the men of Sultan al-Manṣūr (554-595 AH / 1160-1199 AD). The research is based on many sources that the researcher has referenced in the footnotes.
