Luce Irigaray Feminist Self and Anti-Androcentrism

Author

Abstract

"Feminist self" has taken lead in philosophical discussions. Feminists have presented detailed questions about personal identity, individual, body, social practices and cultural imaginations to deal with everything associated to the feminine psychologically, socially, politically and culturally. Feminist criticism has taken interest in deconstructing the human metaphysics and extensive attention to the feminist self, in addition to restructuring ethical, biological and social issues of woman and her political aspirations. Therefore, "Luce Irigaray" wanted through her important philosophical analyses to unleash the feminist self from the prison of masculine world. She took interest in gender assumptions in the works of each of "Freud" and "Lacan", using a deconstructive approach-on the basis of which she presented psychological analysis theory inclusive of linguistic and cultural methods between men and women.
