Abstract

The current study aims to explore the nature of the correlational relationship between academic achievement motivation and emotional intelligence in a sample of university students, the participants are (188) Males and Females, The sample divided to (84) males and (104) females. In order to address the research questions that: Is there a correlational relationship between academic achievement motivation and emotional intelligence in a sample of university students? The emotional intelligence scale and achievement motivation test are used to measure emotional intelligence and academic achievement motivation. The results of the research showed that there are relationship between academic achievement motivation and emotional intelligence in a sample of university students.

By using T.Test this study showed that, there are no significant differences between (males – females) of university students in academic achievement motivation and there are no significant differences between (males – females) of university students in emotional intelligence.
