Abstract

The study aimed to shed light on the development of human resources in the university libraries in southern Upper Egypt. The researcher presented a definition of training and explained the importance of training and development of human resources in university libraries and the importance of determining the needs in planning the training programs. The degree of evaluation of training courses received by human resources in these libraries, and the treatment of the criteria for the development of training plans, and to know the extent of participation of human resources in those training courses,The researcher also used the method of "analytical descriptive", which is the most appropriate approach to the subject of research, which is based on the characterization of the phenomenon and describe the nature and quality of the relationship Between the variables and causes, and other aspects revolve around a particular problem or phenomenon and identify the reality in the ground, and the study reached a number of proposals that the management of university libraries can be used to develop human resources and make them able to achieve its objectives
